We came for the after. For caffeine and the the unspoken things that fuse us together. To sit with our collective hunger in the fullness of our silence and the emptiness of our words.
We came to take up space. In chairs around tables. In loud voices and vulgarity, in sex and deprivation and overwhelming need and desolate needlessness.
We came to be ourselves and lose ourselves. To find ourselves in each others' words and admissions. Unearthing the lost and broken pieces we had not known were missing at all.
